Nanoblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing. Using super fine needles, pigment is deposited into the skin creating individual hair-like stokes that mimic the look of natural hair.
This technique is good for anyone who wants to enhance the look of their existing brows, fill in any gaps caused from over plucking, medication, ill health, age, to define their shape, add colour and depth, improve symmetry, add fullness without the need for eyebrow make-up powders and pencils.
Both Nanoblading and Microblading use a hand held tool to deposit pigment into the skin using needles. However, Nanoblading uses smaller, finer needles and therefore, creates incredibly natural brows and improves precision and accuracy in comparison to Microblading. Nanoblading is my preferred technique.
Including a consultation to discuss your desired shape and colour, this procedure can take between 1.5hours to 2hours. A follow up appointment must be arranged 4-6 weeks later for a top up. This usually takes no more than 1hour.
Nanoblading can last anything between 1-2 years. Gradually, the pigment will begin to fade due to the natural process of the skins cell turnover (shedding and renewing of the skin). Therefore, a yearly top up is recommended to keep your eyebrow pigment looking vibrant. It is important to note that everyone’s skin is different and therefore other factors may alter how well the pigment lasts in the skin. For example, over exposure to sunlight, medication, skin exfoliators (AHA’S, BHA’S), retinols.
Nanoblading is fully healed within 4-6weeks, when all scabs have naturally shed from the skin. It is important to note that during the healing process, the scabs should be allowed to naturally shed and never picked off otherwise this could cause loss of pigment.
This procedure may cause a slight discomfort for some people. However, numbing solution is applied to the eyebrows to avoid this. Every care is taken to ensure my clients comfort and wellbeing.
A patch test is required 72hours prior to this treatment to ensure suitability. This will be provided to clients with full instructions to do at home or alternatively applied by myself at the Beauty studio.
Not everyone is suitable to have this treatment due to medical conditions and medication. Those who keloid scar cannot have this treatment, those who are on Accutane must be off of treatment for 1 year, serious illnesses such as cancer, epilepsy, autoimmune diseases require a doctor’s note, if you are taking blood thinning medication. A full consultation is needed prior to treatment to determine this.
This treatment must not be done whilst pregnant. Once you have stopped breastfeeding this treatment is safe to do.
This treatment is safe to have done. However, it should be performed either 4 weeks prior to your scheduled procedure or 4 weeks after your procedure.
You must cease the use of Retin A or Retinols for 14 days prior to your treatment. Avoid using on or around the area for a further 30 days’ post treatment. Due to the nature of Vitamin A, it will increase the skins cell turnover. Therefore, if applied continuously over your pigment, it could result in the pigment fading prematurely.
Eyebrows can be waxed, threaded, tweezed and tinted at least 72hours prior to treatment. However, it is recommended that any tinting or waxing after Nanoblading, should be carried out 30days after the procedure when the Nanoblading is fully healed.
It is recommended that any of the above treatments are carried out 4 weeks prior to treatment or 4 weeks after treatment when eyebrows are fully healed.
